Run in memory of a club supporter who kindly donated the trophy, Edinburgh Athletic Club have organised an annual handicap race in which the winner receives this famous old trophy since 1928.

The 2024-25 EAC Cross-Country Grand Prix featured no less than 12 qualifying races, from October 2024 through to March 2025. The Grand Prix is set up to reward both performance and consistency across the season, and it has seen some close finishes over the years.

The end of April was something of a marathon-fest, with EAC athletes recently travelling to London, Hamburg, Manchester and Blackpool, to take on the formidable challenge that is 26.2 miles.
