4th Place finish for the Jags

It was another highly successful season for Glasgow Jaguars with the team finishing in a splendid 4th position in the league and retaining their Premiership status, ensuring the continuation of this valuable pathway for developing athletes. 

Team stalwart Anise Macaulay Orr finished in a fine 3rd place in the B 800M (2.15.67) and contributed an excellent anchor leg in the 4x400 relay to bring the team home in 3rd place. Jessica Taylor made her debut for the team and finished in 3rd place in the A 3000M (9.56.49) to secure excellent points. Alice Baxendale, a regular in the team this year finished in 6th in the A Discus (42.49) and 3rd in the B Shot (10.86) and Bera Ajala had a busy afternoon competing in the Triple Jump (14.06) from a short approach for 6th in the A event, in the Long Jump (6.64) for 4th A and in his first High Jump since his schoolboy days (1.73). Luke Gay was another athlete with a busy day finishing a fine 3rd in the B 400MH (57.77), recording a PB in the S/Chase (12.05.45) and came up the home straight to huge applause as he completed the 3000M. 

Ewan Millar was not far from his best with 12.89 for 6th in the B Triple Jump.  

U18 Andrew Leighton was delighted to record a huge PB of 4.00.02 for 6th place in the A 1500M as he honed his preparations for the Scottish U18 800M championships next weekend.

EAC has supported the athletes by paying their annual subs for the team and the officials and team management are indebted to the club for their support this season.  A total of 16 athletes and 9 officials, coaches and team managers have travelled with the team, and it is a big thank you to the club from them.
