National Record for Callum

Congratulations to Callum Newby on setting a new Scottish National Record in the Decathlon with a points total of 7867, surpassing the previous record of 7739 set by Jamie Quarry in 1999

Competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, Callum’s outstanding performance featured PBs in the 100m (10.96), Long Jump (7.46), High Jump (2.01), 400m (48.63), 110m Hurdles (14.50), Discus (40.15) and Javelin (49.09) along the way.

Callum now meets the Team Scotland qualifying standard for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
