Award for Eve

Congratulations to Eve MacCallum on being awarded The Glasgow Pole Vault School – Eamon Fitzgerald Trophy.

It was a collective decision made between all the coaches present at the Pole Vault meet in Edinburgh to the athlete who has best represented the values which Eamon held.

This year we awarded the trophy to Eve MacCallum, of Edinburgh AC, who after a persistent injury, rather than leaving the sport made the decision to change take off leg and has successfully returned to jumping at a very good level.

The group of coaches felt this commitment and love for the sport that Eve has demonstrated made her the clear choice to represent Eamon’s legacy this year.
