Cross Country Grand Prix

Every year, all senior runners compete throughout the cross country season for 2 superb trophies. 2024/25 winners were Mercè Sánchez Oller and Gavin Phillip.

The aim is to encourage our athletes to target the same races, fostering a team atmosphere with large numbers of EAC at these races, and hopefully pick up team prizes along the way in addition to any individual prizes and medals.

How does it work?

Runners should aim to compete in as many of the races across the season as they can. The more races, the more points.

The numbers of points you score is based on how many club athletes compete in your race and were you come within the club. If 10 club runners compete in the race, the highest placed runner gets 10 points, the second 9 points etc. If 50 runners compete, then the first runner gets 50 points.

How do you win?

There will be a winner for the Senior Women’s competition and the Senior Men’s competition awarded to the athletes with the most points in each case.

Prizes will be presented at the Annual Christmas party (including some masters category prizes too).
